Albany Park Panthers

Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Parents, please make sure to check the grade levels on classes before registering.

Please note that students that register for classes later than 2:30pm will have to be picked up after school and dropped off for their class unless they attend the after school POWER program.

  • Arts and Crafts

    Panthers will have a blast exploring their art skills with coloring and painting.

    Grades: 2

    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

  • Building Fun

    Students will explore their creativity and have fun with the use of Legos, magnetic tiles and building blocks.

    Grades: 1

  • Ceramic Painting

    Join us for a fun and creative after school Ceramic Painting class designed for 3-5 graders. Student will explore their artistic side by painting pre made pottery pieces using a variety of colors and techniques. Each student will take home their unique artwork

    Grades: 3, 4, 5

  • Photography

    In this afterschool photography class for 4th and 5th graders, students will learn the basics of taking great photos using Polaroid cameras. Each student will build a mini photo album to take home and share with their family

  • Painting Time

    Come paint with me - boards, pictures and rocks.
