Harvest Bears
Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Reading Intervention
Students will learning decoding strategies to improve reading fluency. Students will also learn strategies to improve reading comprehension.

3rd Grade Beast Academy
3rd grade students will learn and practice math concepts at a higher and faster rate using an engaging platform. Students will also be able to collaborate on these concepts to help each other.

Beast Academy - 3rd grade
In this course, students will dive into the world of Beast Academy, a rigorous and engaging curriculum designed to stretch mathematical thinking far beyond the basics. Through a combination of interactive manipulatives, graphic-novel-style lessons, and challenging problem-solving activities, students will build a deep conceptual understanding of 3rd-grade math and beyond.

We will be working on engaging math skills to prepare for the district STEM Olympiad and Kern County STEM Olympiad. Must be able to attend both events. Events are March 19 & May 2nd.

Beginner Crochet
In this course, students will learn the basics of how to crochet. By the end of the course, they will be able to start with a basic foundation of a slip knot and chain. They will also learn a few beginner stitches like a single crochet, half double crochet, and double crochet. Join me in learning this fascinating and centuries old art form. Let's learn and have fun!

Crafts & Games and much more
"Crafts & Games and much more" represents a diverse, creative, and interactive domain that merges artistic creation with playful engagement, skill-building, and imaginative expression. This category spans DIY projects, educational activities, and, increasingly, digital or interactive experiences designed to foster creativity, fine motor skills, and problem-solving.

Create and Build
Combining LEGO bricks and pipe cleaners creates an interactive building experience that blends structural rigidness with flexible, organic shapes.Children learn about structural stability by experimenting with wide bases, triangular supports, and how to create secure joints. These projects encourage children to imagine, build, and then act out stories with their creations.
