Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP)

Parents, please review the grade level and the time slot of the afterschool class before registering your student.

If your student’s first session begins AFTER 2:30 PM it will require your student to be picked up from school and then returned to school for their scheduled ELOP class, unless your student is enrolled in the regular P.O.W.E.R. program.

  • Lego WeDo Robotics

    Build and code, Milo, the robot, using Lego WeDo Robotics.

    Children will explore the world of building and creativity using magnet tiles and other fun materials! They'll learn how to design and construct everything from simple shapes to intricate structures while developing important skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and spatial awareness. With endless possibilities for imagination, kids will experiment with magnet tiles, blocks, and other materials to bring their ideas to life all while having fun!

    The LEGO Robotics Club invites young students in grades 1-3 to explore, build, and code using LEGO robotics! Through hands-on activities, students will develop problem-solving skills, creativity, and teamwork while learning the basics of coding and engineering. Using LEGO bricks, motors, and sensors, students will design and program their own robotic creations, bringing their ideas to life in a fun and engaging environment.
