Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Expanded Learning Opportunity Program (ELOP)

Parents, please review the grade level and the time slot of the afterschool class before registering your student.

If your student’s first session begins AFTER 2:30 PM it will require your student to be picked up from school and then returned to school for their scheduled ELOP class, unless your student is enrolled in the regular P.O.W.E.R. program.

  • Fremont Soccer League

    If you want to learn to play the game of soccer with real life experiences, come to my class. We will have officiating on site and learn the fundamentals and real game time play.

  • Gaming Club

    Gaming club will provide students with the opportunity to foster positive social relationships with peers and to promote good sportsmanship. Social language, turn taking, game playing and making friends are promoted in this ELOP class.

  • Arts & Crafts and Games

    Students will be given the opportunity to experience hands-on activities focusing on creative expression, developing skills in techniques like painting, and exploring a variety of materials to create different projects. Students will also have the opportunity to build sportsmanship , community building, and positive interactions with their peers while exploring the gaming world.

  • Nintendo Switch

    Come and join our power of play and learning with our exciting after school Nintendo Switch class! Students will explore teamwork, problem solving, and creativity through fun, interactive games they love. It's a great way to make new friends, build confidence, and unwind after a busy school day.   • Mexican / Filipino Cultural Dancing

    Students will learn dancing from various Mexican regions, as well as practice performances for Larry Itliong Day and Dia de Los Muertos assemblies..

    In this creative and hands-on course, students will learn how to design and craft their own friendship bracelets and jewelry pieces. Along the way, they’ll develop patience, fine motor skills, and an eye for color and design. Best of all, students will create wearable art they can proudly keep or share with friends and family.

    Scrapbooking & Painting – Capture Memories, Create Masterpieces

    Let your creativity shine in this colorful and expressive class where students will blend the art of storytelling with painting and design! In Scrapbooking & Painting, students will create beautiful, personalized scrapbook pages while also learning fun painting techniques to bring their memories and moments to life.

    It’s part journal, part gallery, and all heart—perfect for young artists who love to create and celebrate their stories! 🎨📖

    Disney DIY – Crafting Magic from Your Favorite Movies!

    Each session blends creativity, storytelling, and crafting fun while building fine motor skills, encouraging self-expression, and sparking joY.

    Art class is where students can focus on building foundational art skills and exploring creative expression through various media. Students will learn about elements of art like line, shape, color, and texture, as well as principles of design like balance and contrast. They'll experiment with different techniques like drawing, painting, collage, and sculpture, and learn to analyze and interpret artwork.

    Kinetic Sand Club: Create, Sculpt, and Play!

    Get ready to dig in and let your imagination flow in our Kinetic Sand Class! This hands-on, sensory-based class is perfect for students who love to create, explore textures, and express themselves through sculpting and play.

  • SLIME TIME!

    Slime Time! – Stretch, Squish, and Create

    Welcome to Slime Time!—the ultimate hands-on class where science meets creativity! In this ooey-gooey adventure, students will explore the fun (and slightly messy) world of slime-making.

    Students will customize their slime with colors, scents, textures, and more, all while practicing measuring, following directions, and working together in a fun, relaxed environment.

    It’s sensory fun, scientific discovery, and creative play—all rolled into one squishy, stretchy experience!

  • Pen and Keychain Making

    Get creative and hands-on in this fun and functional crafting course! Students will design and make their very own personalized pens and keychains using a variety of materials and techniques. From choosing colors and styles to adding unique decorative touches, participants will learn how to transform everyday items into customized creations. By the end of the course, each student will have a collection of stylish, handmade pens and keychains to keep, gift, or use daily.

    Joining science fair is an exciting opportunity to explore the wonders of science through hands-on experiments and creative projects. It's not just about winning prizes—it's about having fun, learning something new, and discovering how cool science can be!

  • STEAM CHAMPIONS

    Do you enjoy a little fun competition where you use science, technology, engineering, and math skills to solve real-world challenges? This is your chance to apply classroom learning, explore different STEM fields, and develop valuable skills like problem-solving and collaboration.
