Princeton Knights
Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Session 3 will be from December 1st to February 20th.
Parents, please make sure to check the grade levels on classes before registering. Please note that students that register for classes later than 2:30pm will have to be picked up after school and dropped off for their class unless they attend the after school POWER program.

Clay Arts and Crafts
Students will create different clay projects in class. Students will improve fine motor skills and boost their creativity. They will build their self-expression, confidence, and social skills through collaborative play.
Grades: 1, 2, 3, 4,

Literacy Arts and Crafts
Students will listen to a book and complete an art activity/craft related to the story.

Super Comic Club
This will be a literacy course. Students will have access to a wide selection of graphic novels. We will add an art component and a writing section weekly to promote intrinsic reading. Once students have a joy for reading, instead of thinking of it as a chore, they become much more empowered and progress much more quickly. Grades 2-5 are inviting upon availability in the class.

Miss Karlie will teach hip hop dance. A new dance will be taught every week. Come join the fun and learn some moves!!!

Pokémon & One Piece Card Game : A STEM Journey for 2nd to 4th Graders
Join us for a fun-filled class that combines the thrill of the Pokémon & One Piece card game with essential STEM learning, teamwork, and strategic thinking!

Art of Animation
Students develop media literacy and art skills as we watch and discuss various animated films as well as hands-on animation projects

Mancala/Sudoku Board Games
Students will learn fundamentals and strategies of sudoku and mancala utilizing board games.

Playing games including Nintendo switch, board games as well as indoor and outdoor games.

LEGO STEM
Children will engage in hands-on building challenges. They will develop critical thinking, problem solving, and team work skills in a fun and creative environment.

Students will making diamond art coasters and diamond art key chains. Students will also be designing cups, etc.
