Princeton Knights
Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Session 4 will be from February 23 to April 17th.
Parents, please make sure to check the grade levels on classes before registering. Please note that students that register for classes later than 2:30pm will have to be picked up after school and dropped off for their class unless they attend the after school POWER program.

Imagination Station
A fun, hands-on class where kids explore learning through play! Children will enjoy themed learning stations, dress-up and imaginative play, building with Playdough, Legos, and more — all designed to spark creativity, curiosity, and collaboration.
Grades: K, 1, & 2

Literacy Arts and Crafts
Students will listen to a book and complete an art activity/craft related to the story.
Grades: 1, 2, 3

Miss Karlies' Dance Class
Miss Karlie will teach hip hop dance. A new dance will be taught every week. Come join the fun and learn some moves!!!

Mousetrap Car
Students design, build, and test mousetrap cars as they apply the Engineering Design Process (EDP) in this engineering design challenge.

LEGO STEM
Children will engage in hands-on building challenges. They will develop critical thinking, problem solving, and team work skills in a fun and creative environment.

Gaming Club
Playing games including Nintendo switch, board games as well as indoor and outdoor games.

Arts and Crafts
Students will create arts and crafts that will include painting, dot painting, paper crafts, coloring pages and more.

Diamond Art and Design
Students will making diamond art coasters and diamond art key chains. Students will also be designing cups, etc.

Creative Writing and Scrapbooking
Students will be given the opportunity to think and write creatively, based on different prompts given by instructor. In doing so, writing by hand improves memory and recall of words, laying down the foundations of literacy and learning. Additionally, students will use their creativity to scrapbook a page or two, correlating to what they wrote.

Pokémon & One Piece Card Game : A STEM Journey for 2nd to 4th Graders
Join us for a fun-filled class that combines the thrill of the Pokémon & One Piece card game with essential STEM learning, teamwork, and strategic thinking!

We learn to play board games, play outdoor/indoor games, do challenges and compete in teams as well as play games on the Nintendo switch.

GATE
Qualified GATE students will learn about Fairytales and what they entail. They will have group discussions and a culminating activity ready for the GATE Festival

STEAM Olympiad
This class is only for students who will be participating as members of Princeton's 2026 STEAM Olympiad Team. We will be using this time to practice for both the district and county competitions.
