Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

    AR Book Club

    Come and join the reading fun! Students will have the opportunity to read and take AR quizzes. This is a fun reading book club were students can read with a friend, as a whole class, or individually. Student will have an opportunity to earn their AR medals and also be earning prizes and treats as they meet their reading goals.

  • AR Book Clyb

    AR Book Club

    Join us for some reading fun! You will be able to read with the teacher, with a partner, or on your own! There will be books available or you will be able to read on MyOn! You will also have the opportunity to quiz on the books you read, so that you can reach your AR goal.

  • Indoor Hockey

    Indoor Hockey

    Indoor hockey is a fast paced skillful sport that takes elements from ice hockey but is played indoors. Two teams will face off against each other in order to score against the opponents goalie. Teams will learn sportsmanship and acquire athletic skills all while having fun with fellow classmates. Protective gear will be provided for all players.

  • Del Vista Live Club

    Del Vista Live Club

    Students will work in groups to go around campus and record students and staff with what's trending, put together a montage of clips from what they record on campus, select students for "Kicks of the Day", and create a flyer with information and dedications. Students will also will work in groups to create segments of what they want to record to push out to our ASB such as public service announcements for upcoming events, holidays, etc. It's going to be a fun time to socialize and apply their digital skills to provide some cool and trending clips for all to see!
