Del Vista Dragons
Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Parents, PLEASE make sure to check the grade levels BEFORE registering. Please note that students that register for classes later than 2:30 pm will have to be picked up after school and dropped off for their class unless they attend the after school POWER program.

Math Growth Lab
During this math intervention, we will be practicing and using our critical thinking power and applying math strategies in several concepts. Our goal is to help build confidence in areas you need a little boost in to show the math growth we know you have in you. There will be peer collaboration and teamwork as we power through problems to help us be better mathematicians. Join and let's show how much we can grow in Math!

Move & Improve Club
Move & Improve Club is an after-school program that helps students develop fundamental movement skills, improve coordination, build confidence, and stay active through fun games, skill-building activities, and cooperative challenges in a positive and supportive environment.

Battle of the Books
Do you love reading, teamwork, and a little friendly competition? Then Battle of the Books is the club for you! Students will meet Monday through Wednesday to read exciting books from this year's Battle of the Books reading list. Along the way, they'll participate in fun activities, answer trivia-style questions, and build their knowledge of each book while sharpening their reading and comprehension skills. Throughout the year, students will work together to prepare for the Battle of the Books competition in the spring, where they'll put their reading knowledge to the test against other teams. Whether you're already a book lover or looking to discover some amazing new stories, Battle of the Books is a fun way to read, make friends, and be part of an exciting team. Come join the adventure—every book brings you one step closer to the Battle!

Calling all Fourth Grade students! Join the Science Fair and turn your curiosity into discovery through fun experiments and creative projects. The top 10 projects will represent our school at the District Science Fair, and district winners will advance to the County Science Fair!

Capture It!
Come and capture special moments throughout the session to be put into a personal album that you will then get to decorate and design with a variety of materials and supplies. You will be able to add special quotes and objects as you scrapbook your captured moments from across the lens of a polaroid/instant camera. Come and join so we find the beauty beyond what our eyes can see!

Little Rays of Sunshine
Little Rays of Sunshine is a student leadership group for fourth and fifth grade Del Vista Dragons dedicated to spreading kindness, school spirit, and positivity throughout Del Vista. Members help welcome others, celebrate achievements, and lead activities that make every Dragon feel valued, included, and inspired to shine.

Early Math Intervention
This class provides targeted support to help TK, Kindergarten, and 1st grade students strengthen foundational math skills. Through small-group instruction, interactive games, manipulatives, and differentiated activities, students will develop number sense, counting, patterns, shapes, basic operations, and mathematical thinking in a supportive and engaging environment.
