Del Vista Dragons
Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Parents, PLEASE make sure to check the grade levels BEFORE registering. Please note that students that register for classes later than 2:30 pm will have to be picked up after school and dropped off for their class unless they attend the after school POWER program.

Art in Action
Join us for a fun and creative after school Art in Action class. Students will use Foam Clay to sculpt; Board Games; Paper Crafts.

Cheer
Bring your energy, bring your spirit—this is your time to shine! Open to all 3rd through 5th graders, this high-energy cheer class is all about confidence, teamwork, and school pride. Whether you're loud, proud, or ready to lead the crowd, Del Vista Cheer is the place to be!

Fourth Grade Science Fair
Get ready to think like a scientist and create something amazing! In this class, you’ll explore big questions, test creative ideas, and turn your discoveries into a standout science fair project. From your first brainstorm to your final presentation, we’ll guide you step by step. By the end, you’ll be ready to share your work with confidence—and maybe even win a ribbon. Let’s discover, experiment, and shine!

Fifth Grade Science Fair
Please see Mrs Cerna to join the 5th grade Science Fair Do you enjoy science, building things, or figuring out how the world works? The Science Fair is your chance to dive into a topic you’re curious about, design an experiment or project, and share what you discover. Whether you’re exploring space, chemistry, the environment, or technology, this is your chance to turn your curiosity into something real. Let your ideas lead the way.

STEAM Olympiad
Students will be preparing for the county and district STEAM Olympiad where they compete in various science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics competitions.

GATE
GATE students will work together and independently with the chosen Interactive Unit for the duration of Session 2. They will produce a display for parents and the community at the GATE Festival.
