Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

    Students will be give an opportunity to prepare for the Science Fair this year with the help of their Science teacher. They will be provided with materials, guidance, and time to work on, finish and practice their Science Fair presentations. Students will work on creating Science Fair boards and practice answering questions about their projects

    2024 CAMSA Oral Language Team

    Do you enjoy speaking or performing in front of an audience? If so, you may be interested in the CAMSA Oral Language Team. In this session, you will memorize and present a published literary work written by a known author. Presentations are 3-5 minutes in length. Categories of the competition are: Humorous Interpretation Solo, Humorous Interpretation Duo, Serious Interpretation Solo, Serious Interpretation Duo, and Verse Choir.
