Nueva Vista Phoenix
Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Create and Play
Students will play and explore with legos, magnetic blocks, playdoh, draw and color. Students will have opportunity to play and explore with calming fidgets.

Playdough Playtime
Students in TK- 2nd grade in this class will explore creativity using Play-Doh rollers, molds, and themed machines. Children will build pretend foods, everyday objects, and imaginative creations while strengthening fine motor skills, coordination, and creativity through guided, hands-on play.

Creatively Yours
In this fun and creative arts and crafts class, students will use their imagination to design and personalize their own unique projects. Children will explore a variety of materials and techniques while developing fine motor skills, creativity, and confidence in their artistic choices. Throughout the year, students will also enjoy making special seasonal and holiday crafts, including festive projects for St. Patrick’s Day. This class is all about creativity, exploration, and having fun while making art they’re proud of.

Creative Color Studio
Students will explore their creativity through drawing and coloring, then learn the fundamentals of acrylic painting. Individuals will be guided in developing their skills, encouraging self-expression, and fostering a lifelong appreciation for art. Each young artist will proudly take home their unique creations, showcasing their progress and talent.
