La Viña Eagles
Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

Parents/Guardians, please make sure to check the grade levels on classes before registering. Please note that students that register for classes that start 3:45pm or after will have to be picked up after school and dropped off for their class(es) unless they attend the after school POWER program.

Oral Language
The Oral Language Festival is a competitive event where students recite and perform an interpretation of a piece of children's literature. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to creatively express their love of literature using dramatic speaking skills. In addition, students gain confidence to perform for an audience.

Cricut Crafts
In this course students will explore the magic of Cricut. Students will design and create many crafts, such as t-shirts, cups, mugs, gifts, etc. Students will have fun designing their own gifts when customizing cards, unique apparel, or everyday items.

Drama Club
Looking for an opportunity to hone in on your DRAMA skills?? Join the Drama Club! Explore how voice and body work to create dynamic characters through the world of make believe. In this course students will have the option to explore the crafts or have fun by learning to play classic board games. The purpose of the course is for young students to understand how to follow rules, use strategic and critical thinking skills, and learn to play cooperatively with others, or design and create many crafts. Welcome to the exciting world of LEGO! In this class, students will unleash their creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on building with LEGO bricks. Join us for an exciting journey into the world of esports and gaming fitness! In this course, students will enjoy exploring classic board games along with modern gaming platforms like Switch and Wii.
