Powerful Outcomes in Wellness, Education, & Recreation (POWER) is an after school program that has been recognized for excellence throughout Region 8 (Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Ventura, and Kern Counties). We’ve been invited numerous times to present at conferences across our region and state, and have been highlighted and visited by many different after school entities. We provide safe, effective, innovative, & engaging learning, nutrition, and physical activity programs for DUSD students in grades TK-8.

    The Oral Language Festival is a competitive event where students recite and perform an interpretation of a piece of children's literature. It is a wonderful opportunity for students to creatively express their love of literature using dramatic speaking skills. In addition, students gain confidence to perform for an audience.

    In this course students will explore the magic of Cricut. Students will design and create many crafts, such as t-shirts, cups, mugs, gifts, etc. Students will have fun designing their own gifts when customizing cards, unique apparel, or everyday items.

    Looking for an opportunity to hone in on your DRAMA skills?? Join the Drama Club! Explore how voice and body work to create dynamic characters through the world of make believe.     Welcome to the exciting world of LEGO! In this class, students will unleash their creativity and problem-solving skills through hands-on building with LEGO bricks.
